Privacy notice
Last updated 19 September 2026
This notice explains what information SPEED collects, why, how it is protected and the choices you have. SPEED is provided by OmiTrain, which is responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
- School details: school name, town or city, region or country, number of pupils, fee band and school phases.
- Contact details given when requesting an access code or the full report: name, role, email address, telephone number and, for invoicing, a postal address.
- Assessment answers: the answers each leader gives, their name and role, when they started and submitted, and how long they spent answering.
- Technical information needed to run the service, such as the time of each request. SPEED does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
SPEED does not ask for information about individual pupils. Please do not enter pupils' names or personal details in any answer or comment.
Why we use it
- To issue access codes and run the assessment.
- To calculate and show your school's free result and, once paid, its full report.
- To send invoices and respond to your requests.
- To let your school compare its results with its own earlier assessments.
- Where your school agrees, to build anonymised comparisons across schools. This is optional. The assessment works the same either way, and no school is ever named in a comparison.
We use the information because your school has asked us to provide SPEED, and, for anonymised comparisons, because your school has consented.
Who can see it
Your school's answers and reports can be seen by the leaders of your school who hold its access code, and by authorised OmiTrain staff. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We use trusted service providers to run SPEED: website hosting, a secure database and email delivery. They process the information only on our instructions. Some of these providers store data in the United States, under safeguards required by data protection law.
How we protect it
Information travels over encrypted connections. The database is not reachable from the public internet, and only OmiTrain's service can read or write it. Access codes are issued to one school at a time and can be withdrawn at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your school's information while it uses SPEED, so it can compare later assessments with earlier ones. We delete it, or remove anything that identifies the school or its staff, no later than six years after the school's last assessment, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw consent for anonymised comparisons. Email info@omitrain.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country. In Nigeria this is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
