Terms of use
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms apply when a school, or anyone acting for it, uses SPEED. By using an access code you agree to them on behalf of your school. Please also read our privacy notice.
1. What SPEED is
SPEED is a school improvement diagnostic. It shows how a school's leaders describe its practices, and suggests priorities and a roadmap for improvement. It is not an accreditation, a regulatory inspection or a government-approved assessment, and it does not replace any inspection or approval your school is required to obtain.
2. Self-reported information
Results are based on answers given by the school's own leaders and are not verified against documents unless OmiTrain agrees in writing to review evidence. The quality of the result depends on honest and accurate answers. OmiTrain is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of inaccurate answers.
3. Access codes
Each access code is issued to one school. Keep it within your school's leadership. OmiTrain may extend, withdraw or restore a code, for example if it is misused or shared outside the school.
4. The free result and the full report
The assessment and the free result are provided at no charge. The full report is released after the invoice issued by OmiTrain has been paid. Prices are those stated on the invoice. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, fees are not refundable once the full report has been released.
5. Who owns what
The SPEED name and mark, its framework, questions, answer descriptions, scoring rules, report design and recommendations belong to OmiTrain and are protected by copyright and other laws. Your school owns its own answers. Once released, your school may use its report within the school and share it with its owners, board, staff, parents and regulators. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or adapt SPEED or its content, or use it to build a competing product.
6. Recommendations and services
Recommendations are guidance for your school's leadership to consider. Any OmiTrain service suggested in a report is optional, and none is required to act on the roadmap.
7. Safety concerns
If the answers point to a serious risk to children's safety, SPEED shows this in the free result so that the school can act at once. The school remains responsible for the safety and welfare of its pupils and for reporting concerns to the proper authorities.
8. Liability
OmiTrain provides SPEED with reasonable care and skill, but does not guarantee any particular outcome, such as higher enrolment or a regulatory rating. To the extent the law allows, OmiTrain's total liability in connection with SPEED is limited to the fees your school paid for the report concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
OmiTrain may update SPEED and these terms. The version shown on this page applies from the date above.
